$400 million in the Public Works Commission
Funds will be distributed using the existing public works process allowing Ohio to partner with our counties, municipalities, and township governments. The existing process distributes funds to all regions of the state with project funding decisions being made at the local level. This investment will allow Ohio to quickly infuse resources into our local communities to meet the critical infrastructure needs throughout the state. These strategic investments will improve local roads, bridges, water, sewer, stormwater and solid waste projects.

Historic Preservation

Tax Credit $120 Million in the Historic Preservation Tax Credit
This tax credit will revitalize historically significant buildings that expand the tax base of local communities throughout Ohio. This place-based redevelopment strategy will allow for the restoration of historic properties which are often the centerpiece of their community and are irreplaceable remnants of Ohio's storied history. Preserving their integrity will help keep vital a number of one-of-a-kind properties that allow us to preserve a piece of our history as we continue to build for our future.

Clean Ohio Fund

$400 Million in the Clean Ohio Fund
Conservation and revitalization are essential to Ohio's future and the Clean Ohio Fund is our state's nationally-recognized model that invests in both. With the addition of $400 million to the Clean Ohio Fund, we will help meet the growing demand for brownfield redevelopment and farmland preservation, as well as support trails and green space projects. Brownfield funds for assessments, cleanup, and demolition are critical for returning neglected property to productive uses in our towns and cities, while the farmland investments preserve the lands of Ohio and our future in agriculture. In November 2008, this place-based initiative was strongly approved by Ohio voters with bipartisan support.
